The Play Store for Android TV could also use additional content.

As I noted previously, I also used the Xbox Series X controller on my playtest and felt a little bit more latency as compared to the Stadia controller but to me, it was minimal, certainly not a deal-breaker if that is your controller of choice on your Nvidia Shield. Since the release, the content offering has increased significantly, but GeForce NOW could certainly use a few more bockbuster titles. Both games performed and ran as they should, no lag, no issues, no fuss. Positive aspects on the other hand are the high SoC performance, the comprehensive video support, and the low emissions. The WLAN connection could be faster, the controller a little higher-end (which in turn would likely raise the price) - and there are a few Android TV limitations which are frankly a little annoying. The Shield Android TV hardly has any weaknesses according to our tests, however.

My SHIELD remote/controller fails to apply a software update. If your SHIELD Remote won't connect with your SHIELD TV, follow these instructions to connect SHIELD remote. CONNECTING AND ACCESSORY ISSUES My SHIELD remote/controller won't connect with SHIELD. What remains as a negative is a significantly higher price compared to the competition - for example the Amazon Fire TV 4K, which sells for 99 Euro (in the US the price is $99). If you are still unable to resolve the issues you are having, please contact NVIDIA support. In addition to the superb performance of the Tegra-X1-SoC and the very decent video support, the streaming features are a definite value-add. Game overrides = same as above but will override your settings on a game basisįyi there are a few settings like Hotkeys that cannot be overridden but it's fairly rare those become an issue. Is the Shield TV the best Android TV box available at this time? We didn't really find anything to dispute this claim.
When you launch a game using that core the retroarch.cfg aspect ratio will be overridden by the core override) (launch a game and change the video aspect ratio - go to Quick Menu - save core override. Retroarch.cfg = master settings you setup at 1st launchĬore overrides = changes to the above settings specific to the core used Quickly on overrides here's the rough structure
The one issue is you will have to maintain your retroarch.cfg settings in both HS launched and RA launched scenarios. Once you have aligned everything as described in the dual config trick to point both of the retroarch.cfg directory settings at the exact same folders then all your settings will be accessed and saved from Hyperspin launches games and standard retroarch launched games. Theoretically they are the same place it's just android OS permission problems!! This retroarch.cfg has all of its directories for configs, remaps, shaders overlays.everything. set to the root directory which is totally different to the one used by retroarch when you launch it from Shield home screen. When you launch retroarch from Hyperspin it will use the retroarch.cfg found in the inaccessible (unless your shield is rooted) root directory data/data. I think you posted about the dual config problem in another thread if not take a look at this
The disconnecting could be a problem that happened after.

But I dont think the later part of my post has anything to do with the controller itself, since I get the same thing happening with a bluetooth controller. I will try to break it down and hopefully I'm reading your issue correctly. The Nvidia controller that came with the Shield, and yes.
